While our services have evolved and our company has grown, our commitment to giving back and being a good neighbor remains as strong as ever. Our oil and propane company takes pride in supporting local initiatives, contributing to causes that matter, and fostering positive relationships with our neighbors—because we believe that success is measured not just by business, but by the impact we make in the communities we serve.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) has had a profound personal impact on the Bumgarner family, playing a pivotal role in shaping the faith and character of both Zach and Hannah Bumgarner. Through FCA, they were able to deepen their relationship with Christ during their formative years. Zach's journey continued at UNC Charlotte, where he played football and became even more involved in FCA. There, he built lifelong friendships, some of whom are now part of the Bumgarner Oil team. Today, Zach remains dedicated to FCA’s mission by serving on the local FCA board, continuing to give back to an organization that has given so much to him and his family.
Mission: FCA seeks to make disciples through the strategy of engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.

Fallen Heroes
As a company founded by veterans, supporting those who have sacrificed for our country is a cause near and dear to the hearts of the Bumgarners. The Fallen Heroes Ministry is a local ministry founded by Sandy Ridge Baptist that focuses on supporting the families of fallen heroes in North Carolina. Through cards and events, they seek to keep the memory of these fallen soldiers alive. A collaboration between Bumgarner Oil and Fallen Heroes began in 2019. Bumgarner Oil revealed their first tanker truck that honored the life of Hickory native, Chris Eckard.
As a company founded by veterans, supporting those who have sacrificed for our country holds a special place in the hearts of the Bumgarner family. The Fallen Heroes Ministry is a local outreach program founded by Sandy Ridge Baptist Church provides support to the families of fallen service members in North Carolina. Through heartfelt gestures such as cards and community events, the ministry ensures the memory of these heroes lives on. In 2019, Bumgarner Oil proudly partnered with Fallen Heroes to honor this important mission. As part of this collaboration, Bumgarner Oil unveiled their first commemorative tanker truck, dedicated to the life and legacy of Hickory native, Chris Eckard, a fallen soldier whose sacrifice will never be forgotten. Bumgarner Oil has now used several of their B&B Transport tanker trucks wrapped as rolling billboards to bring attention to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
St. Jude Children's Hospital
Each year, our convenience store chain, Cubbard Express, does a fundraiser for St. Jude. This fundraising initiative began in 2017 after our VP of Retail, Tracy, tragically lost her young nephew to childhood cancer. In 2020, Bumgarner Oil began matching all funds raised. With the passion for the cause from our staff and the generosity of our community, Bumgarner Oil has now collectively raised over $200,000 for St. Jude’s Hospital.

The Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba Valley provides support and resources for those who are experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. They offer a variety of free services and education to help the mother and father navigate the months ahead with care and compassion. The Pregnancy Care Center values the sanctity of life and seeks to be a stepping-stone of hope and encouragement through Christ's love in their pregnancy journey.

Founded in 1988, Family Care Center of Catawba Valley, Inc. serves homeless families with dependent children through an emergency and residential program. They offer physical, emotional, social and educational services to assist families in the transition to becoming self-sufficient. The Center, founded on Christian principles, ministers to all persons without discrimination.
